Wireless or Wi-Fi has come a long way over the last decade. However it’s far from perfect. Are you having difficulty with latency or are dropouts an issue?
The biggest issue with Wi-Fi is it’s just a wireless signal between your device and the router or Access Point and as a result there’s many things that can cause issues with your Wi-Fi connection, things like:
- Distance from router or Access Point
- Amount of devices connected
- Radio Frequency interference
- Other forms of interference from other electrical items and/or objects
If you find that that your Wi-Fi connection isn’t quite cutting it, then it would be wise to consider using ethernet instead. The only issue you may face with this is the lack of the ethernet or RJ45 port on modern laptops and of course tablets. Thankfully this is easily overcome by using a USB to ethernet adapter. I’ve linked some below that I can personally recommend.
Simply plug in the adapter with the ethernet cable and let your OS do the rest. You should find that all of the above are plug and play on both Windows and Mac OS
